10 Years

25/3/1998 Wed, is the day when we came to Singapore, now today 25/3/2008 is our 10 years anniversary here. Time flies, when we came here, I was just a little girl. Now I had grown up. Through this 10 years, we had experienced alot of things. So let's go back to 10 years ago. haha..
I still remembered the day, we woke up early to have breakfast before we headed to the airport, that is my last time at the Hk old airport. Alot of relatives, church friends to come to send us. We took loads of pictures, we hugged everyone before we went in to the checking point. All cried.
We boared the aeroplane, we took SQ to Singapore, and we still crying, mummy hugged me and said that in june, grandparents and aunt Pamela will come and visit us. When we arrived Singapore, we first check in to the hotel, and we had to go to many places, like finding housing school etc..
One of the night, when we had dinner at one of the restaurant, when daddy was talking about hk and stuffs, the 4 of us cried again, I think people beside us was thought that we are crazy to cry in the mid of dinner.
First was to settled my brother and me at where to study, so we went to Poi ching sch for interview, all went well and we started to go sch on 1st april. Then we rent a house at whampoa. Is a coincidence that in Hk we also lived in Whampoa. haha.. The house was big but empty, so We went to Tao Payoh to purchase the some furniture, a mattress, at least a fan. That time in March was super hot, whenever we go, we just took cab. All our furniture was still on the way, so we squeezed at the master bedroom to sleep for a few nights.
First day of school was fine, had to woke up so early in the morning to take school bus to school. I don't used to it, as in hk I was in the afternoon session. When I arrived to school, I went to report to the office, so they will direct me to assemble at the hall for morning assembly. I doesn't know that had to sang national anthem, so i just follow what other people did. So my form teacher asked what is my name and stuffs, and I do not have enough textbook. so my teacher will asked my classmates to help me purchase.
I still remembered after 2 days of school, I had Chinese test. And my Chinese teacher was on MC, I was totally lost, I only can do some, and in hk I studied traditional Chinese, then here is simplified Chinese, so I had to learn all over again. one funny thing was that my classmates that sat around me shared their answer with me. lol. So in the end i scored 60 marks for my first Chinese test. haha..
Is really difficult to adapt to a new environmrnt, new culture, everything was so NEW to me. i had to make new friends etc. Especially, when we had communication difficulty, so I seldom talk. All these become a memories now.. We can even find tution teacher when we were so lucky took a cab and the driver just intro her daughter to us. haha.. The church that I often went, was when we took 124 bus and just passed by. All these are so amazing.
I think is wonderful to stay in a foreign country for 10 years. It is not easy at all. anyway, shall stop here, need to study for my exam..
